Hello all, working with a user who cannot edit comments as their properties are locked. User is running Acrobat Std. 2017 on a Windows 10 machine. We cannot unlock them as the checkbox for "Locked" is ghosted out and cannot be unchecked. Note this is happening on new documents. I am not seeing any way to uncheck this box, any help would be appreicated, thank you!
I was able to fix the issue, this involved doing an uninstall and reinstall of Acrobat 2017, all is good now, thank you!

Hi @Jon5E6A
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different file and check.
Also, is this document was shared via network folder or otherwise with the user? The option to unlock the comments is Only available for for PDFs shared using a network folder as described in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/comments.html
Regards
Amal

Hi there
What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
