We have recently changed company names, and as a new part of the QA process, I have to present a comparison document of the changes for a set of documents, showing the new graphic and company name on every page. Since the product was last released, the company has also changed the layout. Because it's too late to mark the source as having changed (MadCap Flare), I figured I'd compare the PDFs. This is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, 2022.001.20085 on a Macintosh.
We have four documents in this bundle. When I compare the old versions to the new ones, it works fine for three of them, but the fourth stops after an apparently arbitrary number of pages. An earlier version stopped after 31 pages, but now it stops after 10.
Same changes done to all four, so it isn't inherent in those changes or even the number of changes. Granted that the version of the generating tool has changed, Compare Documents still works for three of them. On the fourth, what can cause this ? What should I be looking for?

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different set of PDF files and check.
Please update the application to the recent version 22.1.20112 (Mac) from the help menu > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
Regards
Amal
