Hi, we use Adobe Acrobat (Continuous release V2022.003.20310 64bits) on Windows 10 and we got the following screen when trying to compare.
It seems the text is not properly detected on the PDF. However i can select it and copy/paste it. The PDF is a product label with images and texts.
The error is "Le document sélectionné est un PDF scanné ne contenant pas de texte. Acrobat va uniquement procédéer à une comparaison entre images" => The selected document is a scanned PDF with no text. Acrobat will only proceed to an image comparison". I tried uncheck/ check "Compare text only" and change the parameter but no change on text are detected.
Is there something we need to do on the PDF?
We can compare it with no trouble on online tools so it really seems linked to Adobe.
Thank you for your help.

Is the document a scanned one?
What online tools did you use?
Can you share the PDF files? (Do not share if they contain confidential data.)
BTW: Adobe is the company, Acrobat is the product. I assume, I can replace Adobe with Acrobat in your last sentence.

Thank you for your quick answer. The documents are not scanned. We sometimes use https://draftable.com/compare which works OK but we cannot use it for new launch project for confidentialy matter.
The word Sojabohnen is in bold/Italic in the second version, it's not detected by Acrobat. It is with Draftable. Find attached the documents. We activated the format check.
This is very important for us because the allergens have to be highlighted in the ingredient list for safety reason.

Hi @NOEL28027917w8m2
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.
Also, try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
Also, would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them for further investigation?
Regards
Amal

Hi Amal, it seems to work with other PDF, however they are all detected as scanned document but they are not. The pdf are stored locally. I attached it in the e-mail above, you can try.
Unfortunately i don't have any admin authorization to install the .exe in the like you sent me. Is there any other way to get the log? Can we install it through Adobe Creative Clouds?
Regards,
Noel
