Conditional Formatting - Drop Down Selection

New Here ,
Feb 24, 2022 Feb 24, 2022

I want to create an esign form where, depending on the state chosen via drop down, will change or import in a state-specific page further down in the document (related to taxes). I've created the drop down menu with all 50 states and have the specific documents - I'm not sure if this is conditional formatting, layers, or even possible at this point. I've seen similar "if/then formulas but have not been successful. The document contains sensitive information and so there cant be any actions where it sends the users to an external link, it all must be within this secured docuemnt. This needs to be as user-friendly and simple as possible.

If by eSign you mean Adobe Sign, then no, it's not possible.

Should it not be an esign/adobe sign, would it be possible? Is there any format where this would be possible?

It's possible in a regular Acrobat form, yes, but you'll need to clearly define what kind of changes you want to make in the document. Some are easier to implement than others.

Do you have any suggestions on how I would clearly define the changes within the drop down properties or achieve my goal?

You need to explain how you want it to work, first.

In order to show/hide pages you have to define them as Templates, hide them, and then spawn and delete them as needed. All of this will require a custom-made script.

Try searching the forum for "template" and "spawn". This issue was discussed many times, including code samples.
