Control-F does not work, search function does not work

New Here ,

I have Adobe Pro, no matter what pdf I open, Control-F shows no results. I have to do an OCR scan of every PDF before search function works. These PDFs are ones verified to work on other computers. We have a VDI computer set up

Can you please tell me what setting is messed up so Control-F works again? Thank you.

Are you saying that for the same PDF file, you can search it on one computer, but not on another?

Could you share that file with us?

Also, what exact version of Acrobat are you using, and on what OS?

It is every PDF file in existence. We are using Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Pro. We are on a VDI network system at a hospital.

Please post the exact version number. You can find it via Help - About Adobe Acrobat. Also the Operating System version.

And do not reply by email! It includes your full contact details in the signature, making it easier for scammers to contact you, pretending to be from Adobe! I deleted it from your previous reply.

You have two versions of Acrobat installed on the same machine?

And please try it with the attached file. Search for "Apple". Does it not find anything?

I tried searching for Apple and I got the same thing as usual:

"Adobe Acrobat has finished searching the document. No matches were found."

Yes we have some users that have Pro and some users do not have Pro.

It is a VDI system using VMware.

Wow, very strange. It's not a good idea to have two versions installed at the same time. I would remove them both, and then install only one. Also, you can try running a Repair Installation from the Help menu.
