I have an A0 PDF wich I need to save/convert to A4. Before I could use the print option in Adobe Acrobat to select "Print as PDF" and save it in the size I needed. For some reason now I cannot do this anymore, there is a message saying that Saving as PDF from printer is not supported. I deleted an old printer I had installed in my computer to see if this corrected things but now a message appears saying that I cannot open the printing setup because there is no printer installed. How can I convert my A0 PDF to A4? Before it used to be quite simple.

What's the exact version number of the application? What's your OS version?

I just found a work-around in this link, but it will be a nuissance to do that every time I want to scale a file: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/Change-PDF-page-size-in-MAC.html

Apple doesn's allow virtual printers any longer, which is why you can't print to a PDF file.

And the solution you found is not a workaround, it's actually the best way to do it.

Well it is abit odd. Adabe products are the only ones in which I cannot print things as a PDF. Microsoft Office and many other programs do allow me to "Print" as a PDF without having a printer installed. It seems to me that it is a problem specific to Adobe software.
