I'm having difficulty simply converting a PNG file to PDF and keeping the original dimensions. The original PNG file is 4980 × 2100 pixels, and whenever I export as PDF, it's suddenly 1195 × 504 and I cannot figure out why. Any ideas?

PDF sizes are not measured in pixels, so this is entirely expected and variable. Perhaps you are assuming - as many do - that "100% zoom" means the same thing in each app: it does not. PNG and PDF files have a size in inches (which are not actual inches on screen) and this should be preserved.

Thanks for the response. I wonder though, why this page is still smaller in a merged PDF, when the inches are still the same? The only difference I see is the change in dimensions.

Smaller than what in the merged PDF? What are you comparing? Always check the zoom, too, as it is constantly changing as you move around many PDF files.

Smaller than the other pages in the merged PDF, which all remained the same dimensions as their original files. I guess I'm just really confused as to why this is suddenly different. I makes it appear smaller too, which makes it look unprofessional.

Are you checking the size in inches? You can do this by moving the mouse to the bottom left of the page: the page size should be shown below. The size in inches of a converted PNG will depend on its resolution (ppi value).

The inches are different, now that I'm seeing this. But, that confuses me even further, considering the photoshop file is significantly smaller. Not sure how 16 inches suddenly jumps to 69.

What is the size in inches shown by Photoshop (Image > Image SIze)? Does it match? There is one situation where it won't but let's start there.
