How can I automatically create bookmarks from a specific field and then sort by those bookmarks alphbetically?
Imagine this - you process 100 vendor payments in your accounting software that pops out a pdf file with 100 pages, no bookmarks. Within that 100 pages, many vendors duplicate. So we spend a lot of time matching up vendors so we can mail all their checks in one envelope. The vendor name is in the same place on each check, so we are trying find a way to sort the file alphbetically to group the vendors. We are currently using Acrobat 2017 and DC. I would pay to upgrade or have a custom script written if it would save us hours and hours of sorting.

Yes, this would require the development of a custom-made script. I've created many such tools in the past for my clients and would be happy to do so for you, as well (for a fee, of course).
