Create single pdf from multiple pdfs

Long ago in an Acrobat world far away, I used to create a single pdf by aggregating multiple pdfs. Now, using Acrobat Pro DC continuous release version 2019.010.20099, Windows 10, when I combine the multiple files, Acrobat creates a portfolio. I do not want a portfolio. What changed? How do I create a single pdf, not a portfolio?

I actually discovered that after I published my post. I don't know why the folks at Adobe like to think for us, but I prefer to think for myself. Thanks try67!
