Creating a hyperlink to a specific page in another pdf-file

Community Beginner ,

I am using the most recent version of acrobat pro. I am trying to create a hyperlink to a specific page in another pdf-file.

I can add a link to another pdf-file but I do not have the "Options" tab that would allow me to have my link point to a specific page in another pdf.  How can I still link to a specific page in another pfd file?

Use the "Go to a page view" action, instead of "Open a file". Then a floating window will appear with a "Set Link" button. Open the other (PDF) file, scroll to the desired location and then click that button. If you edit the link's Properties after doing that you will see the option you're looking for.

How are you creating the link, exactly? What tool are you using, and what options are you selecting when using it?

I open the pdf-file that I want to insert the hyperlink in, I choose "Edit", I then go "Link" (add or edit link), I then select the text I want to add the hyperlink to, I then choose "Open a file", I select the file I want to link to, then I click on "New window". I then only can click "OK", which inserts a hyperlink to the document but not to the specific page.

Thank you. But that way I link to a page within the same document and I want to link to a specific page in another pdf-file.

I work on a MacBook. Can that be the reason why I can't link to a specific page in another pdf-file?

Follow my instructions to create a link to a specific page in another file. And no, it has nothing to do with you having a Mac computer. You're just not setting it up correctly.
