Where does Adobe keep the instructions for explaining how I can create PDF files into PDF/A-1b files for archiving purposes.
Thanks, Jim

PDF/A is the ISO standard for archival documents, meaning it needs to be able to be opened in 50 years. There can't be any links or email addresses, for example, before you can save to this Standard.
You can start here with Adobe's help:
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-x-pdf-a-pdf.html

Adobe does not own PDF anymore. They gave it away and it is now owned by an ISO.
EDIT: When I began this reply, your post was in Using the Community, which is for questions about the forums. While I was typing someone moved it to the Acrobat forum for you.
