Hi jsory123,
As per the issue description mentioned above, you are getting Credential Selected Invalid error when trying to sign a pdf using CAC, is that correct?
Could you try updating the smart card driver as suggested in the following forum thread and check if that helps:
10.11.6 CAC signing not working with 11.0.17 Acrobat
Also, try the steps suggested in the following forum thread at post#3:
Re: Digital Signature on Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Also, let us know the application you are using to sign the pdf - Adobe Reade or Adobe Acrobat
What is the dot version of the application and Mac OS you have on the machine? To check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
Let us know if you need any help.

Hello,
I'm having the same problem that user jsory123, but now with OSx 10.15 Catalina and with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2019.021.20049.
I just tried the links provided above, but it does not work.
Please, could you help me to solve this issue?
Thank you!

Thanks Adorobat, but please note that this is a real Adobe Acrobat Pro DC bug. Error messages:
Adobe Acrobat Error encountered while signing
Error encountered while signing
The credential selected for signing is invalid
No problem with version 2019.021.20047 and older ones. The bug arose with version 2019.021.20048. Tested on macOS 10.12.6 (16G2128) Sierra.
There is a partial workaround: you can sign if you force quit Acrobat (Option Command esc) when the issue arises. Then, the signed PDF shows saved in the selected Mac location. But there is a big drawback: when such PDF is opened, it shows "At least one signature is invalid" on the top-left corner.
This is blocking our productivity. Please, please, please, fix it. Thanks!

I still have the same problem, and the problem occurs when using certificate in Keychain, but when i create a digital sign and save it as a file in the system, there is no issue.
Coming to the use of certificate & key from the keychain, had tried, giving permission to all the keys, deleted all and recreated and its the same.

This is really frustrating. Uninstalling Acrobat with the Acrobat Uninstaller does not fix the issue. Even when installing then older Adobe Acrobat versions that worked before. Really, really shocking. THIS BREAKS OUR PRODUCTIVITY WORKFLOW!!!
Amazingly, installing Acrobat Reader 2020.009.20063 works with such certificate digital signature. But no Adobe Acrobat version works now as said, including newest one and older ones. Only the Reader works.
Please, please, please, fix this serious bug and please, please, please, make sure, test and double check that the certificate digital signature always works before releasing any new Acrobat version, upgrade, update or build, both optional and planned update. THIS SERIOUS BUG HAS ARISEN AGAIN AND YOU FIXED IT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, BUT NOW HAS ARISEN AGAIN. Thanks!

Why is not fixed this serious bug that blocks productivity. Is someone from Adobe reading this forum? BTW, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has no problem at all. The problem arises with Acrobat DC Pro only. Really shocking, since the former is free and the latter is quite expensive.

Still not working on Ventura 13.2. Extremely frustrating!!! I've spent 2 days on this issue, more than 3 hours per day looking for workarounds and solutions from Adobe, but with no luck. Extremely disappointing!
