Crop AND Remove the Data from PDF and Acrobat

I have a PDF of images. I know how to crop pages so it only displays some of the image. However, Acrobat doesn't actually delete that cropped information, only the display of it. How can I actually remove the data I've cropped within Acrobat Pro DC? I'm cropping out about 50% of the images, and want to actually reduce the file size as well.

Hi

Here's one way:

  • Open the Redact toolbar
  • Select Remove Hidden Information
  • In the Left Hand Panel, select Remove Deleted or Cropped Content (you can uncheck the others)
  • Click the Remove button

Thanks for the reply. I did try that option but it didn't reduce the file-size, and in fact it increased the size which doesn't make any sense.

Hey, I'm having the same problem here. Did you manage to find any solution afterwards?
