I need to crop the white spaces present in some PDF files. I know the "REMOVE WHITE MARGIN" function perfectly, but this function does not remove spaces permanently. That is, if you reopen the file after saving and reopen the cutting window, the original dimensions are still visible. I found an online site that does it permanently, but it's a nuisance to have to upload 20-30 files each time and maybe even tens of MB large, when I have ADOBE ACROBAT PRO and it can't do the same job!

When you have cut out the white edges but you go back to the image to see the edges, you still find the spaces that were cut out before.
It is really frustrating to have to rely on online services that can do this job for me impeccably as you can see from the image below.
I need all this because I have a program that automatically calculates the surface area of PDF files, but with the Acrobat cut it gives me the format before cutting as a result even if I cut the file. With the online cut everything is perfect.

Hello there,
so your only worry is that the CropBox starts at 0 from all 4 sides in the Set Page Boxes dialog, right?
All the page boxes in the Set Page Boxes dialog are measured from the MediaBox.
You should be able to set up a Preflight fixup that would remove white margins by adjusting the MediaBox (instead of the CropBox as the Set Page Boxes dialog does).
Please follow these steps in the image below:
You can run the fixup on any file via the Preflight tool and it should remove the white margins.
Hope it helps,
David

Hi David,
thanks for the help with the various steps.
Maybe my version of Acrobat is slightly different but I ended up following your path of which I attach photos.
When I click on "correct" however it asks me to save the file and does not do anything because the preflight values are all at 0 and I cannot set values as they can change from PDF file to file.
This step of eliminating white borders, I still have to do manually with the crop command of Acrobat.
It would be perfect to be able to do it automatically from preflight, also because by doing som
e tests I managed to create a droplet .exe that contains the preflight, on which I drag the PDF files to be processed.

OK,
you can create a new profile with two fixups:
First fixup:
Second fixup:
Try it and let us know.

OK I created the two separate actions and clicking on correct for each operation performs the two operations.
It is not possible to do the two corrections with a single step. !?
But now I have problems with the creation of the Droplet in exe file.
If I go to "options" and click "Create Preliminary Verification" it only lets me select the list you see in the attached image.
So first I export "Preliminary verification profile" and create .kfp files that I then import
and now it lets me create the droplet file with .exe extension
However, when I then drag the files onto the .exe file to process them, this is intercepted by the antivirus
that after a while understands that it is a good executable but the Acrobat error appears that you see below
and after processing the files Acrobat opens which gives that download message.
Am I doing something wrong in the steps?

Not really sure what's happening.
You can actually put both fixups into a single Preflight Profile. There is no way to define which fixup will run first, but in all of my testing, the Crop fix applied first.
Alternatively, you could define a new Action. and add the fixups to the action in the right order.
