Cursor disappears when tool selected

New Here ,
Feb 24, 2018 Feb 24, 2018

Can anyone tell me how to get my cursor to show after I select a tool? For example, when I select the rectangle tool, I move my mouse to the page and it disappears. I click on a random spot on the page and can still create the box, but them have to drag it and re-size it to what I wanted. When my coworkers select this tool, their mouse changes to the "precision select" (looks like + ) and they can choose exactly where they want their rectangle box to go.

Hello Caitlinv,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, the cursor disappears when you select a tool, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing any updates and see if this brings any difference.

Try resetting the Acrobat's preferences and reboot the machine, to reset the preferences, refer to How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

Is it possible to share a screenshot of the error/issue? To share the screenshot, please refer to https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot

Also, what is the dot version of Acrobat installed, to identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Is it a Mac or Windows machine? And, Is it happening with all the PDF files or with one specific PDF file?

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
