Wie kann ich den Dateinamen und Anzeige Name in der Acrobat APP auf Windows ändern?

Ich bin die PDF gerade am Bearbeiten und ausfüllen und merke das der Name die Bezeichnung der Datei falsch ist.

Hi @Erwin Schnieder

Thanks for reaching out.

This is the name you see in File Explorer (e.g., myfile.pdf).

Close the PDF in Acrobat first (you can’t rename it while it’s open).

     In File Explorer:

  • Navigate to where the PDF is saved.
  • Right-click → Rename.
  • Type the new file name and press Enter.

Reopen in Acrobat, and it will show under the new file name.

Changing the Document Display Name (Title)

Sometimes, the top bar of Acrobat (or the tab name) shows a title that doesn’t match the file name. That comes from the PDF’s metadata.

To edit that:

  1. Open the PDF in Acrobat (not just Reader).
  2. Go to File → Properties (or press Ctrl+D).
  3. In the Description tab:
  • Change the Title field to what you want (this is the display name Acrobat shows).

  • You can also update Author, Subject, and Keywords if needed.

4. Click OK.

5. Save the file.

Now Acrobat will show the new title instead of the old file name in its window/tab.

Let us know how it works.
