Default Email client in Acrobat Pro

I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently switched to Outlook as my email client. In Windows 10 I set Outlook as the default email client. When I try to send an email from within Acrobat Pro, I choose "default email", but it still opens up my old email client. Is there any easy fix for this?

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the default email client in Acrobat pro is not set to MS Outlook and still shows old email client.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Please try to repair the installation from the help menu and see if that works.
Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.

Hi Amal, thank you for the reply. Yes, this is the newest version of Acrobat. I did the repair installaion, and I also attempted moving the preferences folder per the link you provided. Neither of those worked. I did create a test user, and under that user Outlook shows up in Acrobat as my default email, so it works on that account. Knowing that, is there a way to make it work on my main user account?

Hi there
Thanks for sharing your observation. It seems to be some issue with the regular user account.
Please try to repair the affected user profile and see if that helps.

Hi @Cris at Precision Did you look in Acrobat under Edit > Preferences to see what email your Identity is set up with? I don't know if that will make a difference, but maybe it's worth a try. This is used for comments, share, and digital signatures. Let us know what you figure out!
