Default Print Settings for Page Sizing and Handling

New Here ,
Mar 06, 2017 Mar 06, 2017

Every time I go to print I would like the default 'Page Sizing and Handling' settings to be set to 'Actual Size' and 'Choose Paper Source by PDF page Size' to be selected. How do I achieve this?

Also is there a way to automatically select a non default printer if the PDF is a specific page size when I click print? Or a way to create a custom print button which changes the printer?

Thanks!

Hi paulc96746759,

Sorry to inform you that it is not possible to make any changes to the default settings in Print window.

In your second query, please confirm if you are referring to change the default printer selected in the Print window.

Let us know if you are referring to something else.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Please add the ability to select an application-level default size. My organization has to constantly select "Actual size" and if someone forgets to change this setting, they end up wasting 300 pages of paper.

You could probably do that or similar with scripting. See here for more info: What is the Acrobat Software Developer Kit? | Adobe Developer Connection

As your request is quite specific, I suggest you look for a freelance programer, who could write scripts or even a plug-in for handling your request.
