I wonder whether adding new pages to an existing PDF (then save, then add, then re-save again, all this with text recognition etc.) will result in very poort quality PDF in the long run.
What would be a better alternative then?
I have 1 'big' file and each time one or two pages need to be added.
Thanks.

No, quality should not be degraded once it is a PDF, unless you use "reduce file size" or "PDF optimizer". However, I've seen conflicting reports from the "combine files" function. Recommend using Open - Insert Pages - Save as.

Thank you!
I just was busy with -manually- scanning all kinds of notes (different sizes of paper, so I could use the document feeder of my scanner), ending up with a 52 pages .PDF file.
Now, it looks like it is processing something after each and every added page, though I no idea what, and it takes longer and longer before I get the small pop-up 'Add next page' or 'complete document'
Any idea what it is doing then?
Anyway at the end I am running the OCR.
Thank you again.
