Delete a layer in a PDF in Acrobat

Seems like a very simple, basic function, one you might expect of any app, especially one like Acrobat Pro DC.

but how do you do it?!

It's a bit special because Acrobat has always been a particular software: you must hide the layer you want to delete, and then merge it to an existing one, or flatten it if there is not any other layer available.

Are not Acrobat's engineers true specialists in user experience and in UI design?
