Documents from word to pdf are not converted properly

Acrobat was newly installed on my laptop. I was creating PDF's from Word documents and right after the first document was converted,I got an error message (I don't remember exactly what it said, but it was something about my registration). The first document was okay, but when I tried to create further PFD documents, they were not converted properly, there was always one empty page added in the PDF document in the beginning or it the end. These empty pages didn't exist in the word documents. I would appreciate your help.
