Documents wont save after adding Bates Stamp/Header

I open a document in my files (not temporary) and I add a header and then try to save.  The following message pops up "The file may be read-only or another user may have it open.  Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."  the file is not a"read only"  and is not being viewed by anyone else.  To "save as" makes my project take twice as long.  Can someone tell me how to correct this? Thank You. Adobe XI was way better and more user friendly than the new adobe.

Make sure the Preview option in Windows Explorer is disabled.
