I purchased a subscription to Adobe DC Pro, but it does not meet my needs. I need to be able to highlight with a drawn rectangle but I cannot do this. So basically Pro cannot do anything for me that Standard won't do.
How do I downgrade by subscription from Adobe DC Pro to Adobe DC Standard.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

I open a document and at the bottom right it says I paid for and subscribed for some Creative product I do not have and am not using. So it is even more important to downgrade my subscription

Please tell us the exact words you see when you open a document. The details are very important.

Below the Tools menu, right hand side, it says:
Your current plan is Creative Cloud

I hope that helps.

Oh, ok, I see that. I thought you meant it was over the document. I never really noticed that, but if you want to check the plan you have, you can check your account details on Adobe.com. Acrobat Pro is part of Creative Cloud, though, it doesn't seem unreasonable to see that.
I think to go from Pro to Standard you'd normally need to cancel your Pro plan, pay the penalty for early cancellation, and then take a new plan. Adobe MIGHT be able to help if you contact them directly.
Or we could look at your problem with highlighting here. What tool are you trying to use? Are you able to copy/paste text on this page?

Here is a screen print. The highlighting shown was done in Excel. When I click on the Adobe Highlighter, it either
(a) Tries do draw rectangles over ALL cells, not the ones I select.
OR
(b) Turns to an ugly orange freehand blob that I cannot use to fill neatly.
I wish to draw a rectangle where I want it (not where Adobe wants it) and fill it with yellow highlight.
Easy with Excel, Word and Power Point and earlier versions of Adobe Standard, but not this advanced Adobe Pro tool
Thanks.

If this version of Acrobat Pro does this weird thing, it is pretty much certain that this version of Acrobat Standard will do it too. Do you have an older version to go back to?

Yes, I can dump this version and go back to V2015 or V2017. I can try V2017 as I am sure it was working for me.

Just to check: have you tried the new Acrobat with OLD files you made before? Sometimes the problem is with the files (maybe Word has an update to do something different for example).

It seems to be true for files I have tried, and changing my several thousand files to suit the new Adobe is not much of an option.
I am looking at Nuance and Foxit.
