Drop-down export value editable

New Here ,
Aug 12, 2020 Aug 12, 2020

I have a drop down list that exports text values to a text box when an item is selected.  The export values are "templates" for users to fill in the blanks.  When I fill in the blanks and leave the text box, it defaults back to the original export value.

Is there a way to make changes stick upon exiting the text box?

File is attached, feel free to nit-pick the rest of it as well.  I'm a novice to the script part of all this.

TIA

A calculation is used to set the text value, so the calculation will aways take over.  A different approach is needed.
