Drop Down List Display Issue

New Here ,
Dec 02, 2024 Dec 02, 2024

Hi everyone, I'm new to creating Adobe Acrobat forms, but have experience using Microsoft products to create forms.  I'm puzzled with an issue I'm having.  I created a drop down list and it has 23 different items to choose from.  However, I don't see an option that allows me to limit how many are displayed with clicking on the down arrow.  It lists all 23 items at once.  Is it possible to limit it to only show the first 8 in the list and have a vertical scroll bar on the right to allow the user to scroll down to see the other options in the list?  I can't find a property setting for this.

I tested it and it only shows the first 8 items in the list. Can you post a screenshot of it showing all 23 items, please?

Very strange. What exact version of Acrobat is this? Can you share the file?

It's Acrobat Pro version 2024.004.20243

Here's the file though.

I'm on 20272 and it appears fine:

Try updating to the latest version, and if you're on the new UI, disable it.

OK, yeah unfortunately I'm bound by my organization's version, so I'm stuck with this older version for the time being until they release the update.  Thanks for checking this though.  I will note that I'm unfamiliar with the new UI, so not sure if I'm using that or not.  My UI hasn't changed recently so I'm assuming I'm not on the new UI.

If you have a Menu button at the top left corner and no menu bar (with File - Edit - View - Help, etc.) then you're on the new UI. To disable it click on Menu and then on Disable New Acrobat.

Ah! Thanks! I'm not on the new UI, but will keep an eye out and will disable it if it appears.  Thanks again!
