Duplicate fonts

Have recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro 9 to DC. Regularly use Acrobat to combine multiple PDFs into one document and have noticed that the file size for the same document created in DC is over twice the size of Acrobat 9. There are hundreds of duplicate fonts in the DC version that were not in the Acrobat 9 document. I can manually unembed the duplicate fonts, but I'd rather not have to do that for every document I create. Am I missing something?

Hi Stephenm,

As you combine multiple PDFs to single PDF in Acrobat application, are these PDFs (individual) created using Acrobat?

You have mentioned that the final PDF size created in Acrobat DC is almost twice to the size of PDF created in Acrobat 9.

Please try once to combine file online here Adobe Document Cloud

Once you open the link, Sign in with your Adobe ID and the password. Then go to Combine Files and upload the files.

Then combine them and check if you experience the similar behavior.

Would it be possible to share a sample of both the final PDFs (created in Acrobat DC and Acrobat 9) and all individual PDFs with us?

Thank you for sharing the documents.

I have checked both the files and their document properties.

The PDF with the name "PV2012" shows that the file was not created in Acrobat. It seems that you have just modified the PDF in Acrobat 9.

You have mentioned above that you combine files to PDF. Do you combine multiple PDF to single PDF or the other format files to single PDF?

Would it be possible to share the original files that you have combined in Acrobat DC?
