Everything is fine until I press the E-sign button. Adobe then shuts down entirely. It was working well on Monday, and I've not made any changes to the computer's software. I've tried restarting the computer and closing and restarting Adobe. No success.

Did you ever get a response as I'm having the same issue. Request E-Sign and it freezes. I have checked and I have the latest version of Adobe and Mac doesn't show any issues on their end.

Hello,
I have encounterd this issue twice on two separate occasions within my agency and have worked with Acrobat Support. Note, in both cases, the online version of e-Sign was working and was used as a workaround while troubleshooting. If the online version of e-Sign is not working, then the following would probably not work.
Solution 1:
Close Acrobat.
Run Regedit.
Check to see if the following regsistry key exists:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC
-If this does not exist, create the keys and then try to use the e-Sign feature.
Delete the "DC" key, and try to use the e-Sign feature.
-If it failed, check to see if lauching Acrobat actually did create the DC key when it launched. Close acrobat and create it manually if it was not auto created. Then try the e-Sign feature again.
Solution 2:
Close Acrobat.
Run Regedit as admin.
Go to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cServices
-If this key does not exist, create it.
Create a new dWord key named bUpdater and set the value to 1
Try using the e-sign feature.

I am having the same issue. I open a document and as soon as I click on E-sign the document shuts down. I've updated, rebooted my computer and restarted it several times.

Check for updates.
Try disabling the modern UI :
- Windows, go to the Hamburger Menu in the upper left corner and select Disable New Acrobat.
- Mac, go to the View Menu and select Disable New Acrobat.
Also try opening the Acrobat Web Application in your browser and check if you can send the agreement from there?
If not completely remove the application and reinstall

E-Sign has failed again. Click on E-Sign and you get the blank screen where you are supposed to enter the email address.
I have the most recent IOS and Adobe versions.
I use the "old" version of Adobe not the Modern UI
I have completely removed ALL Adobe files from the Library and reinstalled. Rebooted. Sitll E-Sign freezes with a blank screen where one would enter the emails to send to...
At that point you cannot do anything with Adobe. Force quit is required.

FYI it only solved the issue for PC users... It seems that after my offline communications it was finally fixed for us mac users.
