Editable fields still showing blue?

Hi all, i've been reviewing previous posts from a couple of years back and people have talked about how to turn off the blue colour in pdf editable fields which i've done.  But, when I upload a document to another software and go to fill in the form, the fields are still blue?  Has Adobe created a fix for this since 2022?  Thanks.

It's not broken.  Turning it off in Adobe only works for Adobe.  Adobe has no control over "another software".

Hi, i'm not saying it's broken, just wanted to know if you could turn it off period.  Is there nothing that can be done about the blue colour?

It's possible to embed a script in the file that will disable this form of fields highlighting, but it will also affect all other files the user opens, not just yours, so use it with care. And of course, it might not work at all on non-Adobe software.

Thank you, I'm a bit nervous about doing this to be honest, so i'll just contact the other software company and see if they can adjust their settings.  If not, we'll just have to go with the blue!

The blue highlight is not part of the document.

The blue color can be in the PDF or can be generated by a viewer. Or both. As you neither share the PDF in question not name the other software, it is unclear which is the case.

But most common is indeed that the PDF does not use the blue color but a viewer highlights the field using it.
