Editable pdf: calculated fields

I am trying to make a registration form in an edible PDF. I simply want to have one box calculate a total. For example the ticket price for this event is $35. I want the number of attendees selected, whether it be one or two automatically generate the price. so if 2 people are coming to this event their total ticket price would be $70. I have tried all calculations to enter in the calculate tab and cannot get the correct one. How can I get my form to generate a ticket price of $35 based on the number of attendees. What exact text would I enter, and where I put it it to get it to generate?! Help please

Also, would I use a drop-down box or a text box? I need to know exactly how to do this.

I've moved your post from Using the Community (for questions about the forums) to Adobe Acrobat for you.

Definitely use a text field.

In 'Calculate' tab of that field select 'Value is the', then select 'product(x)' and then 'Pick' to select 'price' and 'attend' fields.

That's still not working, is there a way I can send this to someone for them to help me fix it?

Go to 'Format' tab, select 'Number' format, and then you can select number of decimals and currency sign.

In English, the equation is: 35 x number attending = total cost.

You need a field that says 35, not "35 per person". Create a new field, make it hidden. and use that in the calculation.

Here's how to take a screenshot (not a photo):

You need to either share the file (not a screenshot!) or post the exact field names of the fields involved in this calculation.
