Error message: File contains multiple files,

New Here ,
Feb 04, 2025 Feb 04, 2025

When trying to combine files I get an error saying that "the pdf is a PDF Portfolio that contains multiple files.  The files within the PDF Portfolio have been added to the file list."

It is NOT a portfolio, it is a simple one page document (converted from Word to PDF).

Why do I keep getting this error?

Hi @Philip23934248d023,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

Do you still see the error? Would you mind updating the app to the latest version (2024.005.20428) and let us know if the issue is fixed for you?

If not, please share the below information for further investigation:

1. The OS and version of your device;

2. Do you see this with every file or a specific file? Please share a sample file over a private message to test the issue in-house. To do so, click on my profile name followed by the blue "Send Message" button;

3. A screen recording of the entire event which shows your workflow for a better understanding.

Also, are you trying to combine the files from within Acrobat? If yes, would you mind trying the same using your File Explorer or Finder?

Also, try it once through the Online Portal: https://adobe.ly/4ijsAs2 would be great to understand if this is specific to the application or a problem we need to investigate on different terms.

Regards,
Souvik.
