Error message

This error message pops up on our website when opening some pdfs:  Comments were not imported due to a problem within the file.  I don't see anything unusual on the pdf.  Any ideas on how to correct/get rid of this message?

What do you mean by "pops up on our website"? Are you opening the file inside a browser? If so, which one, and what PDF plugin is being used in it?

Thanks for your reply.  We are stumped on this!  The website is in Druple 9, we use Chrome, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (version 2022.002.20212.)  Note we only use Google.  We have a lot of links to pdfs on the website, and the error only shows on a few that came from one unit.  The pdf opens, but this is the message that pops up, then goes away:
