we have received an external pdf document. We are using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. We have converted the document to a searchable pdf. The document changes some words like below example:
It is a sign that you have a 'font issue'. Either:
if the font is the same in your searchable version as the one used by the original designer, you might have an older version that does not have all the characters used in the design
when converting the document, another font is used as a substitute and does not contain all the character you need
you used a OCR process (optical character recognition) that 'retypes' the text and some characters were not read correctly, spell check is needed here and some proofing/typing to correct the text.
What is strange is that the letter ´c´ is deffinitely in the same font like the rest of the word. And it has not been changed in the rest of the document.
