Hello,
We have Adobe Acrobat DC, and the Extract Quick Tool Button has suddenly stopped working. I can add or delete it, but nothing happens when I click the button to extract pages. The Insert button works. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any recommended solutions?
Thanks!
Jeff

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and sorry to keep you waiting.
Please try updating the application to the new version 22.1.20169 now available and see if that works for you. Please go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
You may also download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html
Let us know how it goes.
Regards
Amal

You can extract pages at Tools > Organize Pages.

This is so inconvenient. When will the fix be released??

Chiming in to add my voice to the list. Alas, as of 7-7-22, it hasn't been patched for a fix. EXTRACT through Organize Pages is like...how many extra clicks?

A quicker path is to open the document, click Tools and "Orgnize" which will start with the open document.

Right, but with the Extract Quick Tool Button, you only need to click twice.

Same problem here. July 7th and still no fix. Very frustrating.

it's already a clunky chopped up version of what used to be a seamless software back around 5.0 or so. this glitch may be the beginning of a deprecation. who knows. adobe is not making it smarter or easier to use.

Same issue that just started today 7/11/2022. Our IT people uninstalled and re-installed the software and still doesn't work.

Yes I can see that. I was adding my comment so they are aware that this is still an issue. Last I can see in this thread was that there would be a fix in July. Here it is July and I am just seeing this issue happen to me, apparently this has not been fixed yet. I have the current version of Adobe Acrobat DC, no updates available

Adobe Acrobat DC on my Mac is updated to 22.1.20169 but the problem with the Extract quick tool button still exists. When clicked, it generates an "open file" dialog box -- where the only thing that can be done is to open a file on my computer (!!)

Hi there
We are sorry to hear that. Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau... and check if that works.
Also, try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Amal
