Extracting Annotated PDF documents

New Here ,
Nov 15, 2018 Nov 15, 2018

Does anyone know if this can be done and if so how?

I just added comments to about 20 pages from a 350 page PDF. I would like to be able to extract those commented documents into a new PDF. The only way I can find to this is to find each commented page individually, extract it and then combine it into another PDF.

What I would like to do is to find all the comments using navigation and then extract the files with comments or even to be able to drag them into a new PDF.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

My script only uses commands that are available within Acrobat's scripting model, so yes, it can be done in Acrobat, either manually or by using a script. There's no built-in command that does it, if that's what you mean.

Yes, you can it a number of ways. One of the simplest is to use a script to remove the pages that don't have comments, and then save that file under a new name.

I actually developed a (paid-for) tool that allows you to do just that some time ago.

You can find it here: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Remove Uncommented Pages

Thank you for your message and suggestion.

My question was whether is was possible do so what I was asking by using Acrobat itself rather than buying script from a third party. Any suggestions on whether Acrobat can do this or just confirmation from Adobe that it can't would be great.

Thanks
