Guten Morgen allerseits!

Ich bin in der 7tägigen Testphase mit Acrobat DC. Ich habe ein Problem mit Fehlermeldungen, wenn ich eine Webseite von Google Chrome mit Hilfe der Adobe Acrobat.Erweiterung in eine PDF konvertieren will.

Then get the paid subscription of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, not a trial version that expires in 7 days.

According to Adobe, I have the full scope of the product during the test phase. This should be the purpose of a test phase. In addition, my question about the nonsensical message about Chrome version 41, is not answered.

I disagree. A testing product version can't be a fully operational version even if the producing company claims so.

That is what is referred to as  a testing version. Not all features should work as expected specially if your operating system is continuously doing updates in the background. Expect problems at some point... or better said you're teased and coerced long enough to buy the product so the testing version leaves yuo hanging.

As mentioned below by Berndt_Alheit, I also don't have issues with the add-on.

Also, bear in mind that this add-on is  an integration of the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC full desktop product, not to be consfused  interchangeably with a fully capable web browser add-on that will act as the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. That said, this also mean  that this add-on  also varies in behavior and features when tested with  different web browsers that claim to support Adobe Acrobat integration..

Moreover, It does requires the users  to have the full paid subscription in order to work;  this is coming  from other ACP's and MVP's who have answered this before in the forums.

If you're still unsure about buying an active subscription, my best bet would be to uninstall this add-on, reset Chrome to defaults (or uninstall completely and re-ionstall it) then go to the webstore and re-install and enable this add-on. But like I said, this add-on requires to have a full paid subscription in order to unleash all the Acrobat features integration.

Here's Google support guidance to reset Chrome to defaults:

I don't know what you're basing this opinion on, but it's wrong, at least in the case of the trial version of Acrobat, which is identical to the full version. The only difference is the licensing.

That  is what intended to say... the licensing.

I've seen this answered before where it has been stated that the user need to have the paid subscription or the add-on will fail to work in the browser(s).

The licensing only applies to the application itself as a whole. It just means you don't have a license to use it, only as a temporary trial version. It does not affect integration with other applications.

Well, I stand corrected then. Thank you for clarifying the integration part not getting affected. But as you also mentioned if the user doen't have a license to use it then it would make sense to me that this where the problem is with the add-on when it is used with a trial-version.

No. The add-on works as long as the application works. When the trial period ends, if you don't subscribe to the application (which actually happens automatically unless you cancel it in time), it will stop working, and so will the add-on, which relies on it.

This is why it's a trial (time-limited, not functionality-limited) and not a demo (usually not time-limited, but functionality limited).

The software is the same with a license or without a license.

Got it. I am not arguing about the software being the same or not without license anymore. That was clarified.

The add-on by itself, on the other hand, is not the same software as Acrobat Pro DC (full desktop version), even more so when it is intended to run just a handful of very limited features on every web browser that claims to support this add-on; more specifically anything related to the "PDF Maker" built-in capcbilities that interfaces between the browser, the Acrobat Pro DC full desktop version (including the Distiller),  and the operating system.

Accroding to Adobe Helpx guidance  Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers,  have integration features that  Chrome browser doesn't , for example (this affect all Chrome-based web browser that claim to support this add-on).

Unless the user reports back to this thread, and confirm if this or anything else is the issue, all I am arguing is that it seems like an browser integration issue.

In other words, f the add-on detects that the operating system  has no active subscription of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, then that could be the reason... just saying "could be" the reason.

The OP gets the error message:

Adobe Acrobat is not supported by this version of Chrome. At least version 41 is required.

The use of a license for Adobe Acrobat will not change the version of Google Chrome.

So I've really tried this several times, but for an unknown reason, neither the "more" function works, nor is inserting "Insert Photos" possible with a new answer!
