Fill & Sign, Blank Screen when Adding Signature

Explorer ,
Nov 30, 2021 Nov 30, 2021

I am unable to add a signature or initials for the Fill & Sign feature of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

When I click Sign Yourself, I'm presented with a blank screen. The only option I have is ESC out.

I've tried the different "solutions" for this. Nothing works.

Yes, all updates are done.

Is there an actual solution or fix to this issue, not a workaround?

Thank you

The removal (using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool) and reinstallation of the product fixed the issue.

My concern is why it had to come to that? This has now happened to at least 6 employees, both Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Reader. It's very frustrating. Please fix the program.

Thank you.

Hi there,

sorry to hear about the trouble caused. If we get this right, then adding signature to your document returns a blank screen rather than having a signature dialog box, is that correct?

Since you have mentioned about having an updated version of application, so we'll try a couple of other steps to see if that works:

1- Reboot your computer first. [save all the ongoing work before rebooting]

2- Launch Acrobat DC

3- Check with a different file than the one you were working with, Click on Fill & Sign and see.

4- Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Startup", "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat.

Note: these changes are only for testing purpose. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.

5-  Doesn't make any difference? Then remove then Open Acrobat>help>repair installation [only Windows]

6- Else, use this cleaner tool to remove the application: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html and reinstall it: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

Thanks,

Akanchha
