Hello,
The Fill and Sign tool has completed disappeared from my Acrobat. It is a new computer and I've just downloaded the latest version of Acrobat Pro from Creative Cloud.
I'm working from a Macbook Pro with the Ventura OS. 13.1
When I open up ANY pdf the fill and sign tool is not either in shortcuts or the menu. I checked the security settings of the pdf and all permissions to adapt or sign were allowed. I tried using the tool and using the menu, but nothing happened at all.

Appreciate your help. Turns a 30 sec task into a laborious task.

Hey, for anyone wondering I found the fix for the missing Fill and Sign. Go to edit > Preferences and go to language. From here ensure that it is set to OS, for me it was Arabic and English, restart the application fully and boom. Fill and sign reappeared.

Hi shaunm7100783,
Thank you for reaching out.
Please try updating the application to the latest version (22.003.20314). In Acrobat, go to Help > Check for updates.
Check if that makes any changes.
If that does not resolve the issue, let us know if it disappeared after the last update.
Let us know if the option doesn't appear. We will get this investigated.
We will be waiting for your response.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,
I followed those instructions and installed an update. Sadly, it has not resolved my issue. Still no sign of the tool and I can't activate it manually.
Await further instruction.

Thanks for checking that. Try this further step:
Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:
https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html
Download the Acrobat installer from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html
Let us know if you still don't get the tool back.

I did not get the tool back. It doesn't show when I search, it isn't in the tools section and nothing happens when I try manually through the signature icon or the E-sign category in the top navigation.
Truly baffling.

Also: what happens when you start to type "Fill & Sign" into the Search box at the top?

Here is the bottom half of the tools screen and what happens when I search for Fill.
Simply isn't there. Going to try the cleaner tool now.

It was worth a try — sorry it didn't work in your case.
When you click the dropdown arrow next to a tool, you have the option to remove it. I searched, but couldn't find a way to get it back if it is removed accidentally, which seems a bit odd. If there is a way and I missed it, maybe staff will let us know. If not, we can add it as a feature request to User Voice.

Thanks for the details @shaunm7100783
To investigate further, please try one more step. Create a Root account on Mac and launch the application on that.
If it still doesn't work, share the logs to discuss with our engineering team.
Please collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html. Share them by uploading them to cloud storage (any)

I think I have the same issue. I still have fill and sign but the signature that I save keeps disappearing everytime the software updates.

Hello! Just to confirm I have two more cases with that issue. It was solved by changing the Language to the same as OS as previously commented.
I've lost so much time: removeing user from Adobe Admin console, recreating, adding proper license; nothing. Then uninstalling Adobe twice, completely, still nothing...
Thanks for the support in the community, this has been of great help.
This is a quite a big/strange bug indeed... Adobe needs to fix this 😉
Kind regards!

This worked for me too. I don't know how you found this fix, but I feel that Adobe should pay you a bounty.

If you're on Windows, it's Menu -> Preferences. Then language same as OS. Then close and restart Adobe.
It worked for me. Thanks for the tip.

Still the same issue in Feb 2024. Installed the latest Acrobat and Fill and Sign was missing, after setting the language as "same as OS" it just magically reappeared. Completely absurd that Adobe still hasn't fixed such a serious bug after several months.
If it weren't for your solution my only choice would have been to download & installed a pirated previous version of Acrobat, as signing PDFs is something I need to do almost every day.
Wake up Adobe!

March 7th 2024. DOES NOT WORK. The biggest load of BS is the fact that I JUST signed a doc with my saved signature and then opened another doc after and it was gone. Unreal. This is THE ONLY REASON I USE THIS PROGRAM ADOBE. THE ONLY REASON. Stop making your customers your unpaid QA team.

Hi All,
We just had same issue with latest adobe DC reader deployment, luckily only with few users
Disabling the new acrobat reader from Menu brought fill&sign back
Hope it helps someone

I have just had the same issue. Open a document in Acrobat. Get a message that the program has been updated and I need to reboot. Reboot. Open document again in Acrobat. No sign of "Fill & Sign"as an option except in "Customise Toolbar", where nothing that I try o change allows me to "Save""all I can do is "Cancel."
Language preferences were messed-up and hitting the "Help"button takes me to a page in Arabic!
Adobe are (removed) with their new "look & feel" of the UI. I can not even see what version of the program is now installed.
Does look as though they have finally moved to a 64bit version...
Like other commentators, the "fill and sign" facility is one of the few reasons I have for paying for an ever increasingly expensive subscription.
