Aug 21, 2015 Aug 21, 2015

Hi I use Acrobat Pro DC, 2015 Release (Classic) Version 2015.006.30060

Architecture: x86_64

Build: 15.6.30060.147031

AGM: 4.30.58

CoolType: 5.14.5

JP2K: 1.2.2.33916

The functionality "Fill & Sign" stopped working, when I choose "Fill & Sign" tool the PDF file is not loaded and I see the blank page. Please advice how to fix it. I fully reinstalled the Acrobat but it did not fix the problem.

I had this issue and change these settings in Adobe desktop and it fixed the problem. They are in Edit>Preferences>Signatures>Creation & Appearance Preferences. I dont remember what they were set to before but just set them the way they are in the photo.

Try deleting the following Registry Key.  It will re-create itself once you launch Adobe again.  This fixed my issue.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown\cServices

Check out this page for more detailed info.  The DC services are at the top of the page.

I was having the exact same issue - also on a Mac. I had recently installed ESET antivirus. After uninstalling ESET, everything worked again. Is anyone else using ESET? I noticed in this video of someone else having the same issue that he is also running ESET on a mac.

I'm using ESET too, but everything's working fine now, for no particular reason (I'm with Acrobat Pro).

I am having the same problem.  When using the Fill & Sign option, after completing the information and when I save it, it disappears.

I am saving on the local machine, not on the server.

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if you're still having issues with this but I might have found a work-around to make Acrobat DC behave itself.  Here's a quick snapshot of what I'm using:

Acrobat Pro DC

    Version: 17.9.20044.222436

I have found that the process to clear an old digital signature seemed to correct this Edit/Sign issue causing a blank screen.  Here's the instructions I followed:

Step 1: Export the signed PDF document as a PostScript file (might take a little while depending on file size)

Step 2: Double click to open the new PostScript file you just created.  For me, my computer automatically used Adobe to open the file and in doing so, created another standard PDF file on my desktop (where I had saved the PostScript file to).

Step 3: Open the newly created PDF file and you should be good to go.

The weird thing is this correct the issue I was having with other documents without having to convert them to a PostScript file.  I have no idea why this worked but hope it help you all.

Take care and I'll do my best to answer any questions you have for me.

Had same problem, but fixed it partly based on the suggestion of erics11047785, wherein another PDF is created via PostScript export. However, this is not what I did. The issue was that the original file was Read-Only, because I had opened it by double-clicking the PDF that was an email attachment in Microsoft Outlook. So instead of opening it directly from the email, I saved the attachment to my computer. Then, when I opened the saved PDF in my computer, I could now Fill & Sign.

Potential fix...

I had a similar problem with Acrobat Pro DC (on a Mac)--when I clicked on the signature box (to sign a document), the Acrobat Pro DC screen was grayed out.  I fixed this by navigating to:

Acrobat Pro DC/Preferences/Signatures/Creation and Appearance--click "More"/Uncheck "Use modern user interface"

It works fine now.

I hope this helps some of you.

Computer specifications: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), running OS X El Capitan.

Here it is April of 2020 and the problem persists. Great thanks to RayDanner. After an afternoon of searching and finding the same problem in a dozen different strings on Adobe Community, your guidance continues to work while Adobe continues to give the same lame advice even up to this very moment.....close/re-open - close/reboot/re-open....de-install/reboot/re-install/reboot.....all intermixed with the "try a different file" variant. Thank you RayDanner. Evidently you were my only hope.

When I tried to download the link sent (Shared files Acrobat .com) this is

what appeared on my screen..

"File Dumpsetting cannot be opened because there are problems with the

contents." " do you want to try and open the file, do you trust the

source?"

"Microsoft wont open the file because some parts are missing or invalid."

Just for information Adobe and hoping for a fix. I use an Ipad to fill in a pre designed form and have had no previous probIems. But now the same problem, a filled in worksheet becomes a blank worksheet as soon as the file is sent anywhere. I normaly save to google drive and Email send a copy to the client.

A fix ASAP would be appreciated.

Same issue here. The postscript fix doesnt work in our case because most users only have Reader installed (which cant export to postscript).

Tried most of the suggestions in here and no go. One thing I noticed with my issue is that its sort of random. Sometimes it will open and sometimes I will get the blank page. I have to force close Reader in order to try again which if frustrating many of our users
