How do I set my Preferences so that my page view is "Fit to width scrolling" by default? The options in Preferences are confusing (ex. Single page continuous, Two up) because (1.) they don't correspond to the options in Acrobat's toolbar and (2.) "continuous" doesn't do what I thought it would do.

I'm sorry to see that over two years have passed and this question has not been answered. The first time I open a PDF in Acrobat, I have to change this setting. It seems to be retained for the next time I open the same PDF. So where is the preference setting that would relieve me of this repetitive task?

Hello. Met the same issue. The solution provided refers to file settings. So, using this workaround I have to resave all my pdf files. Is there a solution which can be implemented once for the program and would not require all files' settings update?
