Font cannot be selected - Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Editing PDF when using TextBox

New Here ,
Jun 04, 2024 Jun 04, 2024

When editing a PDF document on Mac, trying to add a text box only gives the option of the Helvetica font. I get an error message saying, "The original font Calibrari is not available or can't be used." I added the Calibrari Font to Adobe Creative Cloud and restarted. I went to Adobe Preferences> Content Editing> Changed Font options to both say Calibrari. Let me know what I can do to solve this issue.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

To activate and use fonts from Adobe Fonts, start by visiting the Adobe Fonts website at Adobe Fonts and make sure you are logged into your Adobe account. Once logged in, use the search feature to find the specific font you need. After locating the font, click on 'Add family'. Next, close all Adobe applications that are currently running on your computer. Ensure that you are logged into the Adobe Creative Cloud application. Finally, restart Adobe Acrobat Pro and try editing your PDF again with the newly activated fonts.

If you encounter any issues, please feel free to reach out for further assistance.

Double-check that the Calibri font is properly installed and available on your Mac system, not just in Adobe Creative Cloud. Sometimes fonts need to be installed system-wide for applications to recognize them.

I have a similar issue with courier. I've activated it and it's on my computer, I can also use it with InDesign and all the other tools. It's even in the dropdown-list in Acrobat, but I just can't select it.
