Form fields are gone?

Hi all! I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2019.021.20056 on an iMac.  I created a bunch of forms over the last few days. This morning I opened one (then others) only to find... there are no form fields showing up. It's not acting like a form at all. My iMac just updated itself to v. 10.15.2. I don't know if that has something to do with it or not? 

And this is weird, too. When I click on "Prepare Form" nothing happens. So it's not seeing it as a new non-form PDF. But it's also not showing any fields at all.

Well, I just quite Acrobat and restarted it... and it is working now. Go figure.
