Forms - List Boxes - ONLY Show Selected Information & Hide Items Not Selected

I saw someone posted something very similar back in 2018.  I don't want to rely on that information because I am HOPING Adobe tools have gotten better since then and reference materials from 2018 are different than what it looks like now.  I suspect I will have to use JavaScript to achieve the goal I want, which is actually rather simple, at least in concept.

I am using Acrobat Pro DC.

I am inserting multiple List Boxes into a form.  Each form field is named uniquely.

GOAL:  I want ONLY those items someone selects from each list to display and to hide those items in the list that are not selected.  If the user makes a mistake and needs to add or change a field they initially selected, they should be able to deselect the wrong one and choose another from the list.

Right now, the list boxes require pressing Ctrl+Click for each they want to appear.  That's fine, unless there is a better way to achieve this for those who don't use Ctrl+Click regularly.

I am not a programmer, so whatever help one provides, it really needs to be clear options so I can follow steps precisely.

Your assistance is appreciated.

Thank you!

Francine
