I am downsampling a PDF from high-res to low-res and when I do I get garbage in some text. The high-res PFD is fine but when reduced/optimized some text gets distorted with overlapping letters and spaces within words and other garbage display areas. Is there a known fix for this? I've done this many times in the past with no issues, now suddenly I'm getting this poor outcome. Tips, tricks and advice welcome.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.
What is the workflow/steps you are doing to downsample the PDF file? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.
What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.01.2017x installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/optimizing-pdfs-acrobat-pro.html for more information about optimizing PDFs
Regards
Amal

Was a solution ever found for this? Here is a video of the similar issue I'm having. I have attached a photo showing what Acrobat version I'm using.
