Why do my blank and white documents result in greyed out PDF's?

Go to Edit - Preferences - Page Display and make sure that "Show large images" is ticked.

Thank you Try67, I also was tearing my hair out after an Adobe upgrade screwed everything once again....

Why can't these software developers get it right & make the default settings the most useful ones, although they probably force the setting that will upset everyone the most, so they can justify their support (or lack of) pricing...
