Hello, I see my problem has been discussed before but I am still unable to solve the issue. When attempting to highlight a single word or line, the highlighter tool highlights random areas of differing shapes NOT the single word or passage selected. I have tried resetting and also reinstalling the software. This problem is unique to Windows as my Apple laptop is fine with highlighter. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Could you please confirm if this happens with a particular PDF? Try opening other PDFs saved locally and not scanned ones. Check if you can highlight text or experience the same behavior.
A screenshot of the highlighting behavior on the Window machine will be helpful.
My problem is the same as Lance's above. The highlighter tool has stopped working properly, can it's properties be selected or reset somehow? The tool is normally used to make transparent horizontal LINES over text, but after recently using the OVAL shape tool to circle something... it now will only highlight a ginormous transparent FULL PAGE VERTICAL OVAL instead of a normal horizonal transparent LINE (the shape I was using last). Any idea how to reset so I can use the highlighter again?
