I have just moved all my applications and files using Time Machine backup from my old Macbook Air to a new Macbook Air.
When I open a PDF and scroll up, horizontal lines appear across the document. I have tried using the mouse, the external keypad arrows, the touch pad and the Macbook arrows. Same issue occurs.
On the old Macbook, Acrobat worked fine.
As I am using Acrobat 8 Professional Adobe Support have suggested this forum will have someone that is likely t know the cause.
Thanks

I have installed latest Reader and issue does not occur.
As I have the original Acrobat Pro disks, I may try just uninstalling and re-installing. Alternatively, will purchase latest version.

Hi Chrisg,
The Adobe Acrobat 8 is a very old and unsupported version.
It is also never tested on the new OS versions available for the Mac or Windows. It can be the compatibility issue.
You may experience some issues while working on this application with the new OS version.
Please try once to install the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your Mac and check if you experience the similar behavior when you open PDFs.
You may also try resetting the application preferences using the steps provided here How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Meenakshi
