How can I make highlight color codes (categorization) for different subjects?

I am trying to make different highlights for different subjects. I want to assign subjects for colors and highlight the stuff by the subject then be able to find them based on the subject.

Hi Andrewkf,

As I understand, you wish to use a partiualr color to highlight the text in a subject. So that each subject will have its own color.

You can manually change the color to highlight the text in the PDF.

However, there is no option in the application to assign the color.

You may refer to this help document Use annotation and drawing markup tools to add comments in PDFs, Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader to change the color of the highlighting tool.

It's possible to use a script to either change the color of highlights based on their subject or contents, or to color highlights that are currently selected with a pre-defined color.
