Hi Pamela,

You can re-order the pages in a PDF via the Thumbnail pane in Acrobat (Standard or Pro).  Simply open this from the left-hand side, then drag-and-drop individual pages or selections of pages as you desire.

Adobe Reader does not have this ability.

I thought this would be the way to do this, but it doesn't work for me. I drag a thumbnail to a new position, then the Mac "thinking" wheel spins for a second, but nothing happens.

I'm running Acrobat 11.0.07 on Mac 10.9.4

Not sure in that case, since the drag and drop in the pages view is the standard way to rearrange the pages. It may be that the file is secured and that is the reason for the failure -- it is not an allowed operation if secured.

Strange. You can extract all the pages as single files (Tools - Pages -

Extract) and then combine then in the order you wish as a new file (File -

Create - Combine files into a single PDF).

Thanks for the help. I can't seem to replicate the issue anymore, but if it happens again, I'll try following your advice.
