I want to drag a text box from on page to another. But when i try, the object hits an invisible wall and wont let me move it to the next page. How do I drag a text box/object from one page to another?
I am using PC. Acrobat 2022.
Any solution?

Right-click on the image using the Edit tool : Edit using : Photoshop/Paint/Etc.
Then you can save the image and import it in another page.

Hello @jaspert47233501,
you can not drag a text box from one page to another... you'll have to copy it from page then you can paste it to another one.
Regards,
Mike

Impossible.
You must cut and paste.

The problem with cut / paste (if your moving an object that's in image format) is that when you copy Acrobat reduces the resolution by a substantial amount so that the object is blurry when pasting into the next page. Note that I cannot simply newly import the image onto a different page if I only have the image in the PDF to begin with. Any solution?

I'm in the same boat. This is so annoying. Why not just be able to drag???

Because PDF pages are completely separate objects from one another. Therefore, editing the PDF is done at the page level. In order for an object to be moved from one page to another it's not just a question of changing some small parameter in it, both pages have to be re-written to accomplish it.

The 'correct answer' to this question is not correct. The question asks about moving a text box, not an image. The question as it reads has not been answered.

The correct answer is it's impossible to drag any objects from one page to another. You have to cut and paste them.

It's the same, they are "graphic objects", there is no difference.

Who would've thought that a program that's designed to manage text and images is so darn bad at allowing you to manage text and images. Here's another one: want to change the color of some text? Have to open the Font Color window and select a color. Want to see what it looks like, or do anything else at all with the program? Have to click the tiny red button to close the Font Color window. Want a different color? Have to do it all over again. Clunky beyond belief. Here's another one: delete a text box by mistake? Tough luck: Undo doesn't work on that... repeat your work. Acrobat gets a D- for user-friendliness.

Acrobat is not a software designed to manage text and images.

From my user's perspective PDFs are composed of text and images... so in using Acrobat to create or edit a PDF, I'm managing (inserting / altering / rearranging) text and images. Are you referring to a technical distinction between "graphic objects" vs text? However inserted objects are classified, Acrobat offers the capability to insert, alter, rearrange text in ways that mimic functionality in word processors and other Adobe apps like Illustrator - but in my experience, that capability in Acrobat is very clunky to interact with.
