How do I remove the auto generated text fields in a PDF?

I have a form that I need to fill out and would prefer to do it through Acrobat instead of printing and checking 200 some boxes.  The issue is that when I open the Fill & Sign tool, Acrobat automatically generates a text field that blocks the check boxes.  If I try to delete the text fields, they just come right back.  Attached is a sample from a document that reacts similarly.
